As a result of the pandemic, many companies were forced to rethink their supply chains and implement new methods of outsourcing and business process outsourcing with companies in nearby countries. The objective was to be closer to the customer and their consumption, accelerating processes and gaining the advantage of cost reduction. This practice is known as nearshoring.
Today, Mexico is on the path to becoming a global powerhouse, thanks to the impact of nearshoring in the country. Previously, the world economy relied on what was known as offshoring, which essentially involved producing your business goods or services in a foreign country to minimize costs. China is a clear example of how many companies from around the world moved their operations there, leading to the economy it has built over the past few decades. However, the increasing tensions between the United States and China have caused more and more companies to reconsider investing in and relocating their production chains to Mexico, particularly Asian companies. The intention is to gain access to the largest consumer market in the world, the United States, abandoning globalization and now placing value on regionalization. Mexico will be the biggest beneficiary, as it will experience significant growth in its economy through increased trade of goods and products to the United States via the Mexican borders.
Racing Cargo is embracing nearshoring by diversifying its operations in strategic locations around the world, while ensuring secure and high-quality transportation methods.
